About this item

The safe-handling dog muzzle has been designed primarily for use by animal-handling professionals such as veterinarians, vet nurses, groomers etc, to quickly and easily make a dog safe to handle. The muzzles are moulded from tough polypropylene, and have an adjustable webbing strap with a quick-fit/quick-release buckle. Although primarily
designed for safe handling of dogs, the muzzles may also be used for general use. The muzzles can be disinfected and autoclaved.

The small muzzle has a 55mm wide opening, and the large muzzle 85mm wide.

I am now able to apply eyedrops, eardrops, skin cream and do anything else I need to do to my sick, bite happy dog all on my own without any worry of getting bitten. It has made my life so much easier and reduces the stress to my dog too. He has no objection to it being put on him.

I ordered a large size and it is a little snug for long nose breeds.

I ordered the medium and it works well with blunt nose breeds but sizing not flexible enough for long nose breeds.

Thank you for your Question.
The safe Handling muzzle only comes in two sizes.
Small and Large.
The small muzzle has a 55mm wide opening, and the large muzzle 85mm wide.
You would need to measure the width of your dogs muzzle.
I think the small would be a bit snug on a typical Border Collies head.
We do have other muzzles with more sizes.

Thank you for your question.
The muzzle is approximately:
10cm long under the Jaw.
8cm long on top of nose.
5cm wide
9cm high at the bridge of the nose
8cm high at the snout end
30cm circumference.
The measurements were taken on the outside of the muzzle.
