About this item

Terramycin Pinkeye Powder contains oxytetracycline hydrochloride 20mg/g in a non-irritant carrier. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic for the treatment of eye infections of animals.

Terramycin is effective against Moraxella bovis and Rickettsia conjunctivae and has activity against a wide range of secondary invaders including Mycoplasma conjunctivae.

Approved Uses:
Eye infections of all animals including infectious keratitis (pink eye) of cattle and other infectious agents associated with these diseases. Bacterial wound contamination.

Terramycin Pink Eye Powder is:

Good but expensive

The powder seems to have brought relief to the eyes of a blind sheep but the product is overpriced in my opinion.

A good product - cleared up my 14 week old pup's mild eye infection in no time and I also applied it to a skin wound to aid healing. Could have done with better instructions about puffing into the eye though - you have to be careful, keep the bottle upright and apply gentle pressure so the powder comes out in a fine spray! Lesson learnt!

Is this good for hot spots on Germane Shepherds?

The Terramycin Pink eye powder if for eye infections in cattle.
It would be off label use to use it on your dog. You would need to seek the advice of your Veterinarian.
Hot Spots can be quite painful and spread quickly. They usually require treatment with antibiotics prescribed by your Vet. I would recommend to take the dog to the Vet for treatment.
