Blue Planet Fluke & Tapeworm Tablets is a treatment for flukes and tapeworms in ornamental fish. Blue Planet Fluke & Tapeworm Tablets have been developed specifically for in water medication of fresh and saltwater fish. The tablets have been specifically formulated with inert excipients to prevent pollution of aquariums. The tablets dissolve rapidly, releasing 95% of the active (praziquantel) within 10 minutes.

Praziquantel has been known to effectively control flukes and tapeworm in ornamental fish for a number of years. However, the only products available were formulated for treatment of tapeworm in Dogs (Droncit, 50mg Praziquantel) and posed problems with polluting excipients and high cost of treatment when used in aquariums.

FLUKES (Monogenetic trematodes) are common parasites of freshwater and marine fishes. Many hundred species are known, the most common groups being, Dactylogyrids (parasitising gills) and Gyrodactylids (parasitising gills, skin and fins). Dactylogyrids known as Gill Flukes, commonly infest all species of ornamental fish, particularly Livebearers, Goldfish, Discus and Angelfish. Gyrodactylids also frequently infest all species of ornamental fish. Fish infested with Gill Fluke show signs of respiratory distress, rapid gill movement, hanging at the surface etc. Fish with Fluke infestation of skin and fins exhibit signs similar to external protozoal infestations such as small red spots on skins and fins and scraping on objects in the aquarium to relieve irritations. Emaciation, inactivity and colour changes occur in chronic sufferers. Flukes can sometimes be seen with the naked eye as tiny pale worms 0.1 to 2mm in length, identification of the particular species is not important as treatment is the same for all flukes.

TAPEWORMS (cestodes) are most common in newly imported fish or wild-caught fish. When present, they are found in the intestines, attached to the intestinal wall by means of a scolex, a head-like structure with suckers. Signs of infestation include enlarged abdomen, and ill thrift.

Blue Planet Fluke & Tapeworm Tablets offer the Aquarist an effective, low cost treatment for all fresh and saltwater fishes. 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 

• Use at the rate of 1 Tablet per 20 Litres of aquarium water. After 48 hours from initial treatment, change 25% of aquarium water and clean the filter. Repeat dose rate after 7 days to prevent reinvestation. DO NOT OVERDOSE. If condition does not improve, consult your veterinarian or aquarium dealer.
• Use with caution when treating aquarium containing Snails or Catfish (Corydoras spp.). If adverse effects occur, discontinue treatment and change 50% of aquarium water.
•  Remove activated carbon from filtration system and slow flow rate to sub-gravel filtration for duration of treatment.
• Pre-dissolve tablets in a disposable cup before addition to the aquarium water.
  
  NOTE: A small residue of cellulose will be evident after dissolving tablets; this residue is harmless to fish.

• White Spot  (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis)
• Various fungal diseases including Mouth and Body Fungus (Columnaris spp)
• Bacterial diseases, including Fin and Tail Rot and other external bacterial diseases.

• Remove activated carbon from filtration system and slow flow rate of sub-gravel filtration for the duration of the treatment.
• Prolonged treatments may affect the helpful bacterial flora in the biological filter.

• Pre-dissolve tablets in a disposable cup before addition to the aquarium water.
• Use 1 tablet per 40 litres of aquarium water. In the case of severe infestation use at the rate of one tablet per 20 litres of aquarium water. 
• Repeat treatment in 3 days if necessary

Blue Planet Multi Cure is a multi-purpose formula which is specially designed to treat White Spot (Ichthyophthirius multifillis), Velvet Diseases (Oodinium spp.) and other fungal diseases in freshwater fish (both tropical and cold water).

Directions for Use: A partial water change is recommended (25% capacity) before commencing treatment and every third day thereafter before retreatment until cure is effected. Ensure aquarium water is well aerated and remove activated carbon from filtration system for the duration of treatment.

Activated carbon will remove this product from aquarium water resulting in ineffective treatment. This product contains a dye which will stain if spilled.

Dosage rates: Use 0.25ml (5 drops) per 1L of use at the rate of 5mL per 20L of aquarium water. For tetra species, baby fish and scaleless fish (loaches etc) use at a rate of 5mL per 40L of aquarium water. DO NOT OVERDOSE. Repeat treatment after 3 days.

Blue Planet Alage Cure helps control algae in freshwater aquariums and ponds.

A common ailment of freshwater aquariums, algae can appear in many different shapes and sizes, including short beard algae, long strands of hair algae or mats of fine blanket algae. While it doesn't look very pretty, algae can also cause major problems with your water balance and clog your filters.

Blue Planet Alage Cure helps control algae in freshwater aquariums and ponds. Algae Clear will not affect plants or fish when used as directed. For heavy infestations, manually remove heavy algae growths before treatment. 

HOW TO USE:
* Shake bottle vigorously before each application. Use at
the rate of 0.25mL (5 drops) per 1L or 5mL per 20 litres of aquarium water.
* Do not overdose as plant damage may result. Results should be evident after 7 days. Maintain aeration and filtration during treatment.
* Treatment may be repeated after 14 days if necessary. If algae persist consider decreasing the amount of light the aquarium receives and increasing the frequency of partial water changes.

Blue Planet Water Conditioner makes tap water safe for fish. It neutralises harmful chlorine and chloramines from tapwater.

Blue Planet Water Conditioner is suitable for both fresh and saltwater aquariums. 

Always add Water Conditioner whenever tap water is added to the aquarium. Tap water contains chlorine and chloramines which control bacteria and while tap water is safe for human consumption these chemicals are toxic to fish.

WHITE SPOT REMEDY For the treatment of White Spot (ichthyophthirius multiifiliis) in Freshwater and Tropical Freshwater aquarium fish

White Spot is a common fish parasite that can occur after the introduction of new fish or plants to a tank. These parasites appear as distinct small white spots (pin head size) on the fish’s body and fins. Unless prompt action is taken fatalities will occur. White Spot disease is fairly common and is best treated with a specific medication like Blue Planet White Spot Remedy.

* Ensure aquarium water is well aerated for the duration of the treatment. 
* Activated carbon will remove this product from aquarium water resulting in ineffective treatment. Remove from filtration system for duration of treatment. 
* This product contains a dye product which will stain if spilled. 
* DO NOT SWALLOW.

DOSE RATES: 
* Use at the rate of 0.25mL (5 drops) per 1 litre of aquarium
water or Use at the rate of 5mL per 20 litres of aquarium water. 
* For tetra species, baby fish and scaleless fish (loaches etc.), use at a reduced rate of 1mL (20 drops) per 8 litres of aquarium water or 5mL per 40 litres of aquarium water.

This 3.5 watt twin air pump will suit small to medium aquariums (approx 90-120cm), depending on the number of airflow items you want to run. It has an airflow of 3 Litres per minute.

Medium (TW400):
This 4 watt twin air pump has an adjustable airflow dial. It will suit medium to large aquariums depending on the number of items you want to run air through. It has an airflow of 4.5 Litres per minute and adjustable flow.

Blue Planet Fungus Cure is an effective treatment for fungal diseases in freshwater and tropical freshwater aquarium fish and will not affect aquarium plants and fish when used at the recommended dose rate.

Fungal diseases are common in freshwater fish and are recognised by white or grey threads on the skin or fins which may thicken until they resemble tufts of cotton wool (pin head size) on the fish's body and fins. Unless prompt action is taken fatalities will occur.

Blue Planet Ammonia Remover is a toxic ammonia remover for fast and effective removal of high ammonia levels and is suitable for fresh and saltwater aquariums.

Blue Planet Ammonia Remover is designed to eliminate harmful chemicals – mainly focused on Ammonia, but as well as Chlorine and Chloramines, from tap water. It acts by binding to Ammonia quickly to ensure toxicity is reduced. It is harmless to all fish types, it can be used in all water types, and will not adversely affect any medications being used.

Ammonia works in conjunction with your pH, which means that when pH is above 7, ammonia does become more toxic to fish. This does affect marine animals as well as various African Cichlids. If you observe a build up of fine bubbles around the water edge at the surface or have excessive smell in the aquarium, this may highlight an ammonia issue. Test your water when possible.

This product is not required if currently using Blue Planet Water Conditioner Plus, which is a complete water treatment.

Ammonia Remover can be used with any item and does not affect medications, if being used.

Directions for Use:

• Use 5mL per 20 litres of water.
• Add to a bucket, or in the area of flowing water to ensure even distribution across the aquarium.
• This will remove up to 3.0ppm of combined chlorine and 1.3ppm of free ammonia.
• For high levels of Ammonia or when transporting fish an increased dosage of up to 3x is suitable.
