Sporn Non-Pull Mesh Harness

We have a 3 year old beagle who hated his halti so we have tried Sporn non pull with little effect. He is like a miniature tank totally controlled by his nose and the halti definitely gave us more control however, we are going to persevere with the Sporn harness simply because he enjoys his walks so much more

Great product - dog doesn’t pull, it’s soft and does not rub, however my dog has found if he rolls his shoulders and pulls backward he can easily slip this harness.

I have used the harness for a few weeks now, and it does not stop the pulling as much as I thought it would, I still require quite some strength to keep my puppy from not pulling.

Bought this for our 8 month jack russell x fox and apart from him trying to eat it when he first saw it, it has worked very well in stopping him from pulling. Even our 7 year old granddaughter can now control him.

The harness is a quality product and only needed to replace 1 when the tightening toggle disintegrated .Our 2 beagles are very headstrong and a lot of pressure is needed to keep them focused and the system is capable of a fair bit of abuse. Recommend them for any small or large bread

I purchased this harness for my beagle to use instead of the haltie. She spends most of our walks trying to tear the haltie off, wearing the harness instead has made walking much more pleasant. She can freely move, run, sniff and all i need to do to keep her moving in the right direction is gently tug the harness and she complies. I wasnt sure that this product would work, being a sniffer dog and quite stubborn, but it seems to be doing the trick. It also allows a bit more freedom when running with beagle.

I use this in a rotation with a halti. This product does not stop him pulling at all, but it does lessen the amount he pulls. Not bad for the price though.

Excellent service and great product. I bought the harness for a mature rescue dog (lab x cattle dog) who was all enthusiasm and pull. He is unable to wear a collar or halter and other 'non pull' harnesses I have tried caused rope burn. This fits comfortably over the chest with no pressure on his neck or shoulders and alows free elbow movement. There is enough 'give' that he responds possitively when starting to pull (rather than pulling more against the harness) and for the first time he is making progress with training.

I used to walk my Poodle X Maltese on a martingale collar and thought I would try him on a harness for those few times he pulled. This harness also looked like it would be comfortable for him to wear. But...now he is too comfortable! He pulls almost the whole way and it is now such an ordeal to walk him. This harness gets full marks for comfort and ease of use but in terms of being 'anti-pull' it is completely useless and has just encouraged my dog to pull more!!

I bought 2 of the harness devices for my excitable border collies. They work well, as I have a halti and found one of my girls has a knack of pulling it off. I take my young border running with it on and he knows when he is pulling away....I am not quick enough to keep up with him..lol !!!! Delivery was super quick...no dramas with the purchase at all.

I bought this for my beagle and it really helps to stop her pulling. I had a different branded one which gave her a pressure sore but this one seems really comfortable and is actually helping to get her out of the habit of pulling on the lead. Very easy to put on- you just slip it over the head and put their feet through. Definitely recommended.

Excellent service and very quick postage. The harness is super easy to put on and it is so much easier to walk my dog who likes to pull.

We bought this product to help our small maltese stop pulling. It does help and is much softer and more comfortable on than other harnesses. Our dog still pulls a bit at the beggining of her walk but no harness can reign in that level of excitment. Overall a good product

I have been using this product for a week now and what a difference it makes. Even though my girl plays Flyball and pulls on her Flyball harness ,she walks nicely on the Sporn Harness. Much nicer walks now.

I was recommended the sporn harnesses for our 2 11 month old beagles. Initially I was very impressed with it as they are very big pullers as you can imagine - sniffing everything in sight! However, even though it has improved the pulling it has not stopped it entirely and I would say that it is only about a 20% improvement on the pulling. I am not sure whether it's because I have them on a double lead or not...maybe I should try and walk them separately on their own lead but anyway, it seems to be very comfortable for them and at least I know that it isn't hurting them when I reel them back. I bought 2 of these harnesses. 1 for a Pug x Boston and it fitted him really well and he behaves much better on our walks. The other was to fit an Italian Greyhound and while it was great for preventing rubbing under the front legs the edges of the mesh section still rubbed his chest area (very fine thin hair on this dog). I sewed some polar fleece onto the edges and this seems to have reduced the irritation caused by rubbing.

Minor problem with the harness which was a quailty assurance problem of the manufacturer and not the fault of VetnPet which I returned. Can't fault the service as the initial delivery and subsequent return of same all the way through to the replacement arriving in the mail. Replacement inspected and has passed with flying colours and my 40 kilo Dobie walks like a dream. He used to pull like a cart horse in the old choker chain but is a real pussycat in the new harness. This is better than the old harness which I never use because he's harder to hold than in the choker.

Fantastic product! Stops the pulling (galloping!) action of the dog and the shoulder pain normally suffered by me at the end of a walk. Highly recommended!

Great quality product but it didn't stop my dog from pulling. After just five minutes of using it, I ended my walk with very painful back injury. I think that this harness just gave my dog something to pull against and gave him more power to do so.

Two start for the quality of the product. Didn't help with pulling on the lead. Will be sending the product back. Waste of money :(

charlie use to pull like crazy. With the Sporn Anti-Pull Harness he now walks calmly beside me. A great product...

I used an easy walker harness previously which seemed to hold my cavoodle back slightly but she was still inclined to pull. I bought this harness and while I like the way the harness fits her it has not resulted in less pulling in fact I think she is able to pull more now that the lead attaches to the ring on her back instead of the front chest ring on the easy walker.

I want to thank Kathryn for her advice - I have a 34kg Border Collie and he is fine with the medium. Easier to put on than the earlier version and I suspect better wearing.

My dog has anixety issues from being in the pound and the gentle leader didnt work coz she would freak out from it being on her face, but this is great!!!!!!! i would give it 10 stars. bit tricky at first to put on but u get the hang of it.

This product is fantastic, it's like I've fitted brakes to my dogs. They don't pull now except when there are other dogs around and they want to say hello, even then they don't pull hard as they did before. I found it easy to fit and my 7 year old can even walk both dogs now.

I bought this harness to take my dog on the Million Paws Walk. It worked like a dream. Felt a bit weird at first as I am use to having the lead attached to the collar, but he didn't pull me at all, it was great:)

Its not bad. I have purchased 3 dog harnesses in the last couple of months. This one is a little tricky to get on, compared to my Gentle Leader Easy Walk harness, and my Puppia harness.

I have a 50kg German Shepherd boy who is a very strong puller. I also have the original Sporn halter and found that fantastic so when this new improved version was released, I was quick to buy one and I am very happy with it. My only beef would be that I ordered the large but I feel it is too big for him and he is a big dog! There is just a little too much length in the harness leash part and it makes it hard to pull back to heel the dog when I have to grab the fine cord as opposed to the actual lead but otherwise...great! So I would recommend that you consider a size down when you purchase if you think your dog may be at the size threshold...

This product is fantastic! Instant results. I would highly recommend. Wish I had known about it previously before I wasted so much money on other products.

Bought two of these, one for each of my Cavaliers who intend to pull. They still pull a little, but a big improvement. I find them easy to put on. Love the padding under the legs
