Trough Rocks are Australian paramagnetic rocks. When placed into your animals' trough they inhibit the growth of algae and bacteria. This makes the trough water cleaner for your animals to drink.
By adding Trough Rocks to your troughs, your animals' urine will no longer burn the grass, deterring unsightly patches.
Trough rocks are all-natural minerals, no chemicals - straight from the earth.
Perfectly safe for humans and animals.
Directions for Use:
Use 1 bag of Trough Rocks per 200L of water.
1. Trough Rocks keep clean water clean, they do not clean dirty water. It is best to empty and clean your trough before use.
2.Once your trough is clean. Remove tag from the Trough Rocks bag and set aside. Place the entire Trough Rock bag fully submerged into the water. That's it!
3. Set a reminder in your diary for 4 months time. As the rocks are natural they lose their charge over time and need replacing.
How do Trough Rocks work?
Being a paramagnetic rock, a simple ion exchange occurs when the rock is placed in water. Free molecules bond to the rock removing them from the water source.
This paramagnetism inhibits the growth and distribution of algae and bacteria throughout the water. You'll find in the peak of summer the algae may still grow, but due to the ionic charge, will line the bottom and sides of the trough. The water will still be clean for your animals to drink.
Are Trough Rocks safe to put into my fish pond?
Absoutely! They will work the same within you fish pond as in your trough. Keeping the water clean and healthy for your fish and any other animals that live in that water.
Trough Rocks are a natural product and their charge cannot last forever. Change your Trough Rocks every four months for the best results.

Equest Plus Tape is a long acting horse wormer & boticide gel.
Equest Plus Tape wormer for horses controls tapeworm in addition to all the other major gastrointestinal worms and bots.
Equest Plus Tape is the only horse wormer that is long acting: re-treatment is recommended after 14-16 weeks compared to after 6-8 weeks with other wormers. This means fewer treatments per year and twice the time that pastures are left free of worm eggs.
Equest Plus Tape is also the only horse wormer to have a registered claim to control encysted small strongyles in a single dose. Small strongyle worms hibernate or encyst in the lining of the horses gut and can cause colic. While other horse wormers kill the small strongyle worms that are in the gut itself, Equest Plus Tape is the only wormer with a registered claim to also kill the encysted forms. This means that the life cycle is blocked at a much earlier stage and that no small strongyle worms can re-emerge and mature in the horses gut straight after worming.
Equest Plus Tape is a unique gel formulation that dissolves rapidly on the tongue. The dial up syringe is designed with a narrow barrel to allow easy access into the side of the horses mouth and deliver the right dose every time.
Equest Plus Tape is safe for pregnant mares and breeding stallions as well as foal over 4 weeks of age.
Active Constituents: Moxidectin 20mg/ml, Praziquantel 125mg/mL.
Contents: 14.4g net (Sufficient to treat a horse of 700kg)
Broad Spectrum:
Equest Plus Tape long acting horse wormer and boticide gel is the only horse wormer to control tapeworm and all important gastrointestinal roundworms, including adult and encysted stages (DL, LL3, EL4) and benzimidazole resistant strains of small strongyles, and aids in control of early encysted stages (EL3), including inhibited larvae (greater than 90% effective). Protects for 14 -16 weeks.
Parasite Control Programs:
All horses should have a regular parasite control program. Regular treatment will reduce the risk of diseases due to small and large strongyles such as colic and verminous arteritis. Reinfection of horses with worms is common and treatment must be repeated routinely to ensure effective control. The unique long term activity of Equest Plus Tape long acting horse wormer & boticide gel against worms, including encysted small strongyles, is particularly useful in reducing the required dosing frequency in strategic parasite control programs. Retreatment intervals for the control of small strongyles can be extended for 14 to 16 weeks. Consult your veterinarian for advice on faecal egg count interpretation and the appropriate program for your specific needs.
Indications:
Equest Plus Tape contains the active ingredient moxidectin, a second generation macrocyclic lactone, and praziquantel, a synthetic isoquinoline-pyrazine derivative. Equest Plus Tape is palatable and effective for the treatment and control of:
- Tapeworm: Anoplocephala perfoliata and Paranoplocephala mamillana.
- Large Strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris (adults, L3 and L4 arterial stages), Strongylus edentatus (adults and L4 visceral larval stages), Strongylus equinus (adults), Tridontophorus spp. (adults) including T. brevicauda, T. serratus and T. tenuicollis, Craterostomum acuticaudatum (adults).
- Small Strongyles (adults): Cyathostomum spp. including C. catinatum and C. pateratum, Cylicostephanus spp. including C. calicatus, C. goldi, C. longibursatus and C. minutus, Cylicocyclus spp. including C. brevicapsulatus, C. elongatus, C. insigne, C. leptostomum, C. nassatus, C. radiatus, C. ashworthi and C. ultrajectinus, Cylicodontophorus bicoronatus, Coronocyclus spp. including C. coronatus, C. labiatus and C. labratus, Gyalocephalus capitatus, Parapoteriostomum mettami, Peterovinema poculatus, Poteriostomum imparidentatum, as well as benzimidazole resistant strains. Equest Plus Tape long acting horse wormer and boticide gel is the only horse wormer effective as a single dose against encysted stages of small strongyles: developing stages (DL), late encysted stages (LL3/EL4), and aids in control of early encysted stages (EL3) including inhibited larvae (greater than 90% effective).
- Pinworms: Oxyurus equi (adults and L3/L4 larval stages)
- Ascarids: Parascaris equorum (adults and intestinal stages (L4))
- Hairworms: Trichostrongylus axei (adults)
- Intestinal Threadworms: Strongyloides westeri
- Large Mouthed Stomach Worms: Habronema spp. (gastric and cutaneous (summer sore) forms)
- Stomach Bots: Gasterophilus intestinalis (2 & 3 stage larvae), Gasterophilus nasalis (2 & 3 stage larvae)
- Cutaneous Onchocerciasis: Onchocerca spp. (microfiliariae)
Egg Reappearance Period (ERP) for Equest Plus tape long acting horse wormer and boticide gel is at least 14 weeks, which means that recontamination of the pasture by strongyle eggs is significantly reduced during this period.
Directions for Use:
- Do not administer the full syringe to horses under 400kg
- Use with caution in foals and smaller breeds by carefully calibrating the dose and avoid overdosing.
- Keep away from dogs. Excessive consumption of split material may cause toxicity.
- When used as directed, Equest Plus Tape long acting horse wormer and boticide gel is safe in foals over 4 weeks of age, and in all breeding stock, including stallions and pregnant mares.
Dosage:
Equest Plus Tape is administered orally (into the mouth) at a dose rate of 0.4mg/kg moxidectin and 2.5mg/kg praziquantel. It is supplied in a ready to use syringe, calibrated according to the bodyweight of the horse to be treated, in intervals of 25kg bodyweight.
Administration:
1. Prepare the syringe: Hold the syringe with the capped end pointing to the left so that the weight measurements and the tick marks (small black lines) can be seen. Turn the dial ring until the left side of the ring lines up with the weight of the animal. In the diagram below, the dial ring is set to dose a 400kg animal. Remove the barrel cap and save it for later use if required.
2. Administer the dose. Ensure the animal's mouth is empty, with your thumb on the plunger, insert the nozzle of the syringe into the horse's mouth at the space between the front and rear teeth, and make sure the tip of the syringe is over the back of the tongue. Deliver the dose of gel onto the back of the tongue by gently pushing the plunger until it stops. Raise the horse's head once dosing is completed to ensure the gel is swallowed.
Surplus gel can be stored or be used to treat a second horse. If gel remains in the syringe once the full dose has been delivered, replace the barrel cap; store the remaining gel below 30 degrees celsius (room temperature) for later use, but do not use after the expiry date shown on the label.
If the first animal treated weighed less than 700kg, there will be gel left in the syringe, which can be used to treat a second horse. To set the next dose, add the weight of the animal to be treated to the dose setting already on the syringe. For example, if the syringe was first used to treat a foal weighing 100kg, the dial ring is set on 100kg. To treat a horse of 400kg next, move the dial ring to the 500kg marking. More than one syringe is needed to treat horses weighing more than 700kg.

Collovet is a restorative and appetite stimulant. It is formulated to provide those essential elements most often lacking in an animal recovering from illness or subjected to severe bodily exertion caused by intense or prolonged exercise, high standards of production or performance.
Collovet is an extremely palatable water soluble liquid manufactured in Australia by Ruth Consolidated Industries Pty Ltd. It is readily accepted by all animals, increasing mental alertness and capacity for muscular work. It is most useful where animals are suffering from performance or handling stress and where they are off their feed or suffering from "training off syndrome" or recovering from illness.
It is especially helpful during intensive training programmes to maintain progressive conditioning or to assist in overcoming post-competitive fatigue or to promote "bloom" in show animals.
- Stimulates appetite
- Improves nervous "tone" in animals undergoing training, schooling or racing.
- Improves capacity for muscular work
- Conditions animals for show or sale and promotes a healthy bloom to the coat.
- Keeps animals eating and keeps them growing. Especially helpful where animals are off feed and racing horses and racing camels are “training off”.
WHAT DOES COLLOVET CONTAIN?
Active Ingredients: Potassium glycerophosphate - 24.0g/L ;
Ferric ammonium citrate - 23.0g/L; Sodium glycerophosphate - 21.8g/L;
Caffeine citrate - 12.0g/L;
Manganese sulphate - 2.2g/L; Thiamine hydrochloride- 0.2g/L
HOW DOES COLLOVET WORK?
High performance animals are subjected to many small stresses often overlooked, but which when combined, often have a serious effect on performance.
To counteract these performance restraints Collovet contains 7 key elements:
1. STOMACHICS which stimulate the gastric juices and help get the performance animal back on its feed.
2. IRON - a source of organic complexed iron to help build up haemoglobin levels in the blood stream and increase the supply of oxygen to the muscles.
3. STIMULANT - which increases the activity of the central nervous system and gives the performance animal a sense of well being and improves the muscular efficiency.
4. POTASSIUM AND SODIUM - to help replace body metabolites which can become deficient under stress of racing, eventing, polo, endurance or heavy training.
5. ORGANIC PHOSPHORUS - helps in the transfer of energy to muscles.
6. B COMPLEX VITAMINS - in natural form - to convert carbohydrate to energy and help tone up the nervous system, leaving the performance animal alert not flighty.
7. VITAMIN B1 improves appetite and helps calm the racing animal.
WARNING: COLLOVET contains Caffeine. If used in performance animals, the regulations of the relevant authorites should be observed.
WHEN SHOULD I USE COLLOVET?
Hard conditioning of racing and performance animals usually induces a condition of mental as well as physical stress. Collovet is designed to assist in overcoming or minimising this stress. It should be used when any of the following occur:
PERFORMANCE STRESS caused by hard training and racing. Typical symptoms include - "off feed" or "training off" syndrome, depression, listlessness and general unwillingness.
HANDLING STRESS such as transport, extremes of weather, heat and humidity, handling, confinement, not enough rest and accidents.
SICKNESS STRESS. Collovet can be used as supportive therapy, to improve appetite and assist recovery and promote bloom. During periods of post-operative and general convalescence Collovet will hasten recovery and ensure more normal functioning.
AS A DIETARY ADJUNCT to promote appetite, to improve growth rates and offset losses in production due to unthriftiness, lack of vigour and debility.
AS A MILD STIMULANT Especially helpful for young animals which are weak and undersized at birth and prove difficult to rear.
AS A RESTORATIVE used as supportive tonic therapy in association with more specific therapy used for the treatment of troublesome and non specific persistent conditions.
NOTE COLLOVET IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR APPROPRIATE VETERINARY THERAPY.
COLLOVET is an extremely palatable tonic and is readily accepted by all animals.
HOW DO I ADMINISTER COLLOVET?
Collovet is a water soluble liquid which can be dosed in the drinking water, milk, feed or drenched. Collovet is highly palatable and well accepted by animals of all ages. Used as directed, it does not cause digestive upsets, nausea or vomiting. Collovet should be administered each day for at least 5-10days, depending on the level of response required.
During heavy training, give Collovet to prevent the racing animal going off feed. After racing, give Collovet to aid speed of recovery.
DOSE:
Depends on the live weight of the animal.
Recommended Dosage:
30 ml per 100kg liveweight or 15ml per 50kg liveweight. Give half the dose in the morning and half in the evening.
Continue for a minimum of 5-10 days depending on the response required.
WARNING IF USING ON ANIMALS DUE TO RACE CHECK WITH YOUR RELEVANT RACING AUTHORITIES TO DETERMINE WITHDRAWAL TIMES.
WHEN DO I NEED TO WITHDRAW COLLOVET?
WARNING: because COLLOVET contains caffeine it is subject to racing rules in many jurisdictions. Users are warned to abide by their respective Racing Authority's rulings and to check the warning on the label.

VITAMIN B1 INJECTION provides the essential vitamin Thiamine.
How Does It Work?
Thiamine (Vitamin B1) plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates and energy production for all cells. Thiamine is most important in the breakdown of pyruvic acid a waste product in hard working muscles along with lactic acid. In any situation where carbohydrates are the major energy source or when glucose is added to the diet thiamine requirement is increased significantly.
Thiamine is essential as part of the coenzyme which is involved in the breakdown of glucose for energy.
Thiamine in conjunction with Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is essential in the metabolism of proteins and amino acids. Thiamine has effects on all tissues. The most sensitive are nerves stomach and heart.
Free Thiamine cannot be stored in the body and it is rapidly absorbed from the intestine or blood as well as from injection sites. Like all B Complex vitamins Thiamine is water soluble so it is rapidly absorbed and excreted from the body and requires regular supplementation especially in hard working animals when dietary input will probably not be sufficient.
Thiamine is found in both meat and cereal products. Small amounts are manufactured in the gut as long as horses are not under stress.
Thiamine in food is destroyed by cooking. Beef loses up to 75% of its Thiamine when cooked.
High doses of Thiamine are reported to help calm nervous or over excitable horses.
Clinical signs of Thiamine deficiency include fatigue muscle weakness loss of appetite and increased heart rate. (This may be an important factor in endurance horses fed high grain diets).
Many of these signs can be traced back to increased tissue levels of lactic and pyruvic acids. Nerve cells are particularly dependant on carbohydrate metabolismand normal nerve function is greatly effected by increased levels of these acids during hard work.

Indications:
Gastroenteritis and diarrhoea in dogs and horses.
Composition:
Bismuth salicylate 17.5 mg/mL; Bentonite
Actions
Antidiarrhoeal : The insoluble salt is converted to bismuth carbonate and sodium salicylate after oral administration. It lines the mucosal surface, absorbs toxic compounds, is mildly astringent and has protective, antacid and antiseptic properties.
Peptosyl is non-antibiotic - It will not cause bacterial resistance to develop. It is non-toxic in animals and humans, displays antibacterial activity, decreases water loss, and may also help reduce the pain of inflammatory bowel diseases.
Bismuth salicylate and other bismuth salts have been shown to inhibit plaque formation of enteric rotavirus in vitro.
The salicylate component has an antiprostaglandin synthetase effect which may enhance its action in controlling acute secretory diarrhoea.
Bentonite is a natural clay earth with properties similar to activated charcoal, and the ability to bind bacterial endotoxin.
Dosage and Administration:
Horses : 0.5 to 1 mL/kg bodyweight orally.
Dogs : 0.25 to 0.5 mL/kg bodyweight orally.
Repeat dose every 6 hours for 36 hours, and then at 12 hour intervals for a further 2 to 3 days.

Gelatin’s short peptides – glyprolines – consist of amino acids of glycine and proline. They protect the stomach mucous tunic from injuries. Glyprolines are easily absorbed in the stomach and remain in the blood for a long time without breaking up. They act not only on the stomach cells but also on the central nervous system overcoming the blood-brain barrier, therefore they help prevent the ulcers caused by stress.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CEN ULCER PROTECT AND ULCER MEDICATION
Ulcer medications (e.g Ulcerguard) turn down/block acid production in the horse’s stomach (proton pump inhibitor). CEN Ulcer Protect does not inhibit the natural acid pump action. It helps protect and heal the stomach wall with high-quality ingredients without side effects.
Stomach acid is vital for protein digestion and absorption of key vitamins and minerals such as calcium and magnesium. The acid in the stomach is also important as a barrier against micro-organisms and parasites in the environment entering further down the digestive system.
Ulcers in horses can occur n the Foregut and Hindgut. Long term use of ulcer medication can be risky. Evidence from human research indicates that long term use of Omeprazole impacts calcium absorption, which has been linked to an increased risk of osteoporosis where bones become weak and there is the risk of fracture. Short term use would be a lower risk.
This has caused some nutritionists and researchers in equine nutrition to question the long term use of Omeprazole in horses. Dr. Juliet Getty – internationally respected independent equine nutritionist, believes that concerns are reasonable because what happens in a horse’s stomach is not that different from human digestion.
“What happens in humans is that these medications not only reduce protein digestion, but they also inhibit the absorption of key minerals and vitamins, such as magnesium, calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin B12” said Getty.

MuscleGUARD is an oral paste formulated with amino acids, vitamins and potent antioxidants that support normal muscle and nerve function during and after intense exercise. Supplementing before and after work can help provide relief from acute muscle soreness and fatigue associated with strenuous activity.
How Does It Work?
Amino Acids
L-Carnitine
- During low-intensity exercise, oxygen is used to fuel energy production and glycogen use is minimal. Carnitine helps preserve glycogen stores for longer.
- During high-intensity exercise, oxygen supply is limited, so other energy sources fuel muscle activity.
- High levels of carnitine in the muscle before exercise support higher work output with less energy expenditure.
- Oral carnitine supplementation helps load muscles with glycogen.
- Carnitine ensures fatty acids and other fuel sources are used before glycogen, delaying glycogen depletion and lactic acid build-up.
L-Carnosine
- Found in high concentrations in equine skeletal muscle fast-twitch fibres.
- Helps buffer lactic acid produced during glycolysis (glucose breakdown).
Dimethylglycine (DMG)
- Supports increased oxygen uptake in the bloodstream.
- Improved oxygen availability promotes stamina, conserves energy and delays the switch from aerobic to anaerobic exercise.
- Extending aerobic work reduces lactic acid production.
Antioxidants
Alpha-lipoic acid
- A powerful antioxidant that assists in converting glucose to usable energy.
- Helps regenerate and reactivate antioxidants such as Vitamins E and C.
Grape seed extract
- Rich in OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes), known for strong antioxidant effects.
Alpha-lipoic acid and grape seed extract together help to:
- Neutralise harmful free radicals produced during exercise.
- Delay the onset of fatigue.
- Reduce recovery time after periods of hard work.
When to Use MuscleGUARD
- For horses showing acute signs of muscle soreness or tightening after work.
- Suitable for all performance horses—both anaerobic (sprint) and aerobic (stamina) work requires efficient energy use.
- Use before and after events to help relieve muscle soreness and fatigue from strenuous exercise.
Features & Benefits
- Improves stamina and endurance by delaying fatigue.
- Helps delay discomfort associated with lactic acid.
- Reduces recovery time after intense training or events.
- Supports improved mental alertness during work.
- Assists in fast recovery from tying up.
- Ideal for travel—horses unload feeling ready to perform.
Other Products That May Help
MuscleGUARD works best when used alongside Kelato's LoosenUP.
- MuscleGUARD provides relief on the day of the event to support recovery and performance.
- For mild or short-term symptoms, MuscleGUARD alone is usually sufficient.
- Horses with persistent or ongoing muscle soreness benefit from daily LoosenUP plus MuscleGUARD on event days.
- MuscleGUARD does not contain any ingredients found in LoosenUP, making them ideal complementary products.

In late 2020 International Animal Health began rebranding their product which was formerly known as Protexin to a new name "ProN8ure".
BENEFITS OF PRON8URE:
- Establishment of beneficial gut microflora
- Suppression of E. Coli Salmonella & Aeromonas spp
- Treatment and control of scouring and diarrhoea
- Improved digestibility of feed
- Improved growth and feed conversion
- Reduced digestive upsets
- Enhanced animal health
- Re-establishment of gut microflora following antibiotics, wormers or vaccination
- Reducing stress (stress disrupts normal intestinal balance)
- Safe, non-toxic and residue-free.
Stress, in all forms is one of the major causes of disruption to the normal balance of microflora in the gut, allowing proliferation of pathogens. Loss of appetite, picky eating, scouring, poor condition and changes in temperament are some of the less consequences. Stress is easily induced with some common causes being: changes in diet, heavy work or training, temperature extremes, breeding, transportation, worming, vaccinations and changes to environment. Use of PRON8URE in these circumstances protects horses from negative intestinal changes while improving digestive efficiency and general health.
Antibiotics are particularly harmful to gut microflora, leaving animals susceptible to re-infection. PRON8URE should always be administered following any course of antibiotics. The digestive system plays a vital role in the health, vigour and performance of horses. Its correct functioning is dependent on the level and balance of bacteria and yeasts called microflora. Microflora have the major role in breaking down indigestible nutrients, in the synthesis and absorption of vitamins and minerals, in stimulating the immune system and in preventing the proliferation of pathogens in the gut.
Foals are born with a sterile gut which is rapidly colonised by both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria. A fine balance exists which can easily be disrupted, leading to scouring, ill thrift and other problems. Feeding PRON8URE from birth protects the foal from pathogens, improves digestive efficiency, enables better utilisation of feed and makes the transition from milk to solid feed easier.
All horses benefit from ProN8ure's ability to stabilise intestinal microflora, maximise gut health and resist the effects of stress.
