TURMERIC (curcuma longa and curcuma xanthorhizza):

Known as the vibrant golden ingredient used liberally in Indian curries, turmeric has a long history of use in both Indian and Chinese traditional medicine. The inherent therapeutic properties are attributed to the vivid yellow-orange pigments (curcuminoids) that are present in turmeric. They are believed to have powerful antioxidant properties (significantly more so than vitamin E or C) and may increase the body's ability to neutralise free radicals before they damage healthy cells and cell membranes. In combination with its perceived anti-inflammatory effects, turmeric has also been known for its role in the prevention or alleviation of an impressive array conditions.

Turmeric may also be useful in reducing inflammation particularly for animals with arthritis and itchy skin.

GROUND BLACK PEPPER:

The inclusion of ground black pepper to this mix may increase the bio-availabilty and absorption rate of turmeric and Resveratrol.

POWERSTANCE (powdered coconut oil):

Stance Equine's powdered coconut oil supplement is a unique coconut delivery system that gives the benefits of this wonderful tropical oil and may also help to increase the absorption of turmeric in the digestive system. Coconut oil contains high levels of medium chain triglycerides (MCT's) which provide the body with a readily available energy source and Lauric Acid, which converts to monolaurin and may provide anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. The benefits of supplementing animals with coconut oil may include improved digestive health, enhanced coat and skin condition.

RESVERATROL:

Resveratrol is produced in plants to maintain their general health. Normal body functioning gives rise to free radicals with production greatly increased during inflammation and stress. Resveratrol has been added to Turmericle as it is an antioxidant that may help the body efficiently detoxify these free radicals.  The resveratrol is  derived from Japanese knotweed.

Active constituents: 4.0% Permethrin 25:75(cis:trans) A highly effective insecticide and tickicide with insect repellent activity.

Permoxin is a highly effective tickicide and insecticide. In laboratory trials, a single application of Permoxin prevents tick attachment for over two weeks and resulted in greater than 98% flea control for 20 days.

When applied daily to flea allergic dogs, Permoxin repels fleas and gives relief to the pruritic dog. In fact, the high safety margin means that Permoxin can be applied as often as needed, to maintain the repellent action.

Permoxin utilises advanced technology which allows it to bind to clean hair and skin for long acting effectiveness. Peak activity is maintained by regular weekly top up rinses to produce saturation of the hair coat.

Permoxin resists inactivation by light. This ensures a longer duration of action than the natural pyrethrins which decompose rapidly on exposure to air and light

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Dilute to 1:40 (as directed by label) in water, or methylated spirits if a rapid drying spray is required. Spray or rinse as directed.

Hygain Performa 3

Hygain Performa 3 is a premium omega oil supplement formulated to provide horses with a balanced source of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. Combining flaxseed oil, canola oil, fish oil and garlic, Performa 3 delivers both plant and marine sources of essential fatty acids to support overall health, condition and performance.

Unlike many plant-based omega supplements, Performa 3 contains fish oil, providing the important long-chain Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA in a form that can be readily utilised by the horse.

Key Benefits

• Provides a rich source of Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids.
• Contains the three critical Omega 3 fatty acids: ALA, EPA and DHA.
• Supports healthy skin and coat condition.
• Helps maintain overall wellbeing and body condition.
• Provides a cool source of calories for horses requiring additional dietary energy.
• Highly palatable with added garlic.
• Suitable for horses in work, breeding stock and pleasure horses.

Why Omega 3 Fatty Acids Matter

Omega 3 fatty acids cannot be produced by the horse and must be supplied through the diet. Modern equine diets can often contain higher levels of Omega 6 fatty acids than Omega 3, particularly where horses have limited access to fresh pasture.

Performa 3 helps provide a more balanced fatty acid profile by supplying Omega 3-rich oils together with naturally occurring EPA and DHA from fish oil.

Ingredients

• Flaxseed (Linseed) Oil
• Canola Oil
• Fish Oil
• Garlic

Suitable For

• Performance horses
• Racehorses
• Breeding horses and stallions
• Show horses
• Horses requiring additional condition
• Horses requiring additional dietary fat without high starch levels

Feeding Guide

Commence feeding at 25–30 mL per day and gradually increase over 10–14 days to the recommended feeding rate.

Mix thoroughly into the daily feed. Performa 3 can be fed in conjunction with other oil supplements if required.

EFA Repair and Revive hemp oil for horses is a great addition to your horse’s feed. It contains omega-3, 6 and 9 and has potent anti-inflammatory effects.

Did you know that turmeric’s bioavailability in the body increases by 92% if it is combined with an oil? Dry turmeric added to your horses feed will result in a very small absorption of curcumin in the body. Pawsome Organics EFA Repair and Revive will give you the comfort knowing your horse is getting the best source of curcumin available to them, as the turmeric is delivered through an oil. By absorbing the curcumin through an oil and not a powder, the bioavailability and absorption into the body jumps a massive 92%.
When you add pepper into the mix you increase the absorption even more. The active ingredient in pepper (piperine) helps the body absorb the curcumin 2000 times better than without it.

Feeding directions:
Hemp oil is typically fed at 30mL twice daily. High performance horses or those recovering from illness or inflammatory conditions, may require 60-90mL twice daily.

Shelf Life:
12 months from production date but may be kept up to 2 years or more with ideal storage(cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
