About this item

Permoxin is indicated for:

Dogs: Tick control (including Paralysis Ticks), Flea Control; Management of Flea Allergic Dermatitis;
Horses: Fly Nuisance (stable fly, buffalo fly, sandfly); Management of Queensland Itch.

Use as a Spray or Rinse

Safe for use on pregnant and lactating animals

Active constituents: 4.0% Permethrin 25:75(cis:trans) A highly effective insecticide and tickicide with insect repellent activity.

Permoxin is a highly effective tickicide and insecticide. In laboratory trials, a single application of Permoxin prevents tick attachment for over two weeks and resulted in greater than 98% flea control for 20 days.

When applied daily to flea allergic dogs, Permoxin repels fleas and gives relief to the pruritic dog. In fact, the high safety margin means that Permoxin can be applied as often as needed, to maintain the repellent action.

Permoxin utilises advanced technology which allows it to bind to clean hair and skin for long acting effectiveness. Peak activity is maintained by regular weekly top up rinses to produce saturation of the hair coat.

Permoxin resists inactivation by light. This ensures a longer duration of action than the natural pyrethrins which decompose rapidly on exposure to air and light

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Dilute to 1:40 (as directed by label) in water, or methylated spirits if a rapid drying spray is required. Spray or rinse as directed.

NOT TO BE USED ON CATS

Available in 250ml and 1L

Lots of mozzies hassling the animals, now over

Very happy with Permoxin, easy to mix up and actually works. doesn't smell too bad either. Horse was suffering from mozzie bites after flooding and also flies in her eyes. Dog had a few extra fleas but same as horse, happy relaxed and not scratching.

Amazing

I've a Ridgeback cross that live outside and has been attacked by a black flies (only this year - 2014). I tried all sorts of remedial sprays to repel the black flies to a human insect repellent. I washed my dog regularly thinking it might get rid of the smell but it didn't work. I googled for some suggestions but none come up with Permoxin as a solution. Until I read from an ebook (I'm a new student of veterinary nursing) that Permoxin is good for dogs and horses when it comes to repel black flies. It's a great product, easy to use, gentle for the animals and it works! No black flies covering my dog anymore. Black flies are nasty.

Very necessary part of our daily management of flies. Always have some on hand when we travel as it is great to keep off mosquitoes too...

Permoxin

I've used PERMOXIN now for many years on our dogs to guard against ticks and fleas and also on our horses and donkeys for lice and summer flies. It is both a safe and reliable product .

Permoxin

Seems a great and economical treatment, have been using it for a week in place of tick collars and tablets on a mature Rotty X and a Dane\Bull Arab X puppy, sand flies, flies, ticks, mossies, fleas are all a problem here and the pup seems to be settling down well after an infestation.

Permoxin

The best product on the market for controlling ticks on our horses. We keep it in the grooming bucket and finish each session with a quick spray.

Thing I like most apart from killing fleas very efficiently Permoxin has little or no smell.. so often associated with other flea products. Suits me and my dog fine :)

Permoxin

I have been using this product for a long time, and if it is apply regularly it is quite effective. Mixed with water it is easy to use. I believe the product is harmless to the environment.

Permoxin

Used this on our dogs as a spray after bathing them. Seems to work great. We have a lot of sand and they normally have plenty of fleas but after mixing this up, spraying it on and rubbing it into their coats, the fleas were gone for at least 2-3 weeks. Should get many treatments from the one bottle so its good value too.

Permoxin

This stuff is great !! I'd been pulling up to 4 paralysis ticks off my show horse each day- even after using Rid under his combo rug and on head/legs/groin daily (this made his skin peel) and the ticks were leaving scars and lumps. Was ready to move to VIC or TAS and SO SO frustrated. This spray has solved my problem !! I still check for ticks everyday- but Permoxin sprayed on both horses, leg wraps and rugs is VERY effective. A great product !!

Hi Sam

Thank you for your Question.
Great Question.
Unfortunately I am unable to advise using it if it is out of date.
The efficacy may not be there now.
I hope that helps
Cheers

Lisa
