I use Black Dog Leads and Training halters and love them.

I bought the 5 m lead a few months ago and this purchase is a back up one and love that my Bull Terrier X can walk with his off lead gal pal and feel more freedom but I can also give lead cues if needed I also leave it on him when he is in the ocean in case of any crazy dogs running up unasked so I have some control. After a while I have developed a good way to ensure that they don't get tangled - and after watching a great training video from a company called Tenderfoot Training in the USA have taught my guy to "fix it" when the lead is caught in his under carriage - and he learnt pretty quickly to untangle himself in his own way - I am mentioning this as people I meet on walks say tangled long leads are reason they don't get them - like all things it just takes a bit of diligence - I really love having him on a long lead. I also use this brand as it was referred by an amazing trainer that said that these flat leads are the ones that the dog can feel the instructions from .

The 5m lead is perfect for my ball mad dog recovering from a broken leg. I can take him to the park for a good sniff around and he can’t take off when he sees someone throwing a ball.

I use this lengthy lead attached to a flotation device. My dog has to swim daily as part of her physio program. I don't have to get in the water with my dog but can successfully lead her around the perimeter of the pool.
