About this item

Sweetmat Disinfection Mats are for foot traffic and light wheeled trolleys where it is important that all traffic passes over them. They are available in three sizes.

These mats feature a permeable upper fabric which enables disinfection of footwear, or anything else crossing it (dogs, carts, etc.).

Disinfection mats typically use 75% less disinfectant than a foot bath.

Inner Core:

The inner foam core is rebonded-polyurethane. Virgin ïbath tubÍ foam in its original block form (like some similar products) is far too soft and short-lasting for commercial uses, such as in disinfection mats in high-traffic areas.

Fabric:

The upper surface of the mat is a 100%-woven polypropylene mesh. This mesh is inert which means it will not shrink or warp and is UV resistant. The base of the mat is reinforced-PVC, for strength with UV resistance.

Thread:

Sweetmats use Dabond thread, as it is specifically designed for harsh outdoor environments. Dabond is the industry standard for sail making, military supplies, tents and seat belt manufacture due to its overall strength.

Hi - is this mat good to use outside of litter box for a cat? i am looking to have my cats paws disinfected after using the box. If so, what solution do you recommend that will not harm them?

Thank you for your Question.
I am not sure if the Sweetmat would be suitable.
The mat needs to be wet with disinfectant and the cat has to actually walk on it.
Most cats would not walk on a wet mat, they would just jump over it. I imagine they would probably knock kitty litter everywhere or tip the tray in the process of jumping.
I do not know of any mats that would be suitable for disinfecting the paws.

If you are worried about the cat digging in urine soaked litter or minimizing the contact with Urine soaked litter you may be better using the Ezi-LockOdour Dual Layer Cat Litter Tray System.

The urine goes through to an absorbant mat located in a tray under the tray.
These trays are great. I have one for my cat.
