Zylkene is a complimentary feed for cats and dogs that contains a natural product derived from casein, a protein in milk. It is a molecule well known to promote the relaxation of newborns after breastfeeding.
Since its launch Zylkene has become a familiar product for veterinarians, behaviourists, nurses and pet owners world wide. It helps pets cope when facing unusual and unpredictable situations and can be used before occasions such as a change in their normal environment.
Zylkene is palatable and easy to give: simply mix with food or give the whole capsule. It can be given daily and is both preservative and lactose free.
Zylkene can help support dogs and cats in situations where they find they need to adapt their behaviour to cope. These can include kennel and cattery stays, moving house, the arrival of a new pet or baby, sudden noises such as fireworks, travel or festivities. Many cats do not cope well in a multi-cat household.
There are many ways our pets can respond to new and unpredictable situations and not all animals will respond the same way. Even the most seemingly innocuous situations and experiences can trigger your pet's uneasiness when they are in unusual or unpredictable situations.

The alpha casozepine in Zylkene is made following best quality standards from the farming of the dairy cows to the casein hydrolysis manufacturing process, which complies with certifications ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.
Zylkene is easy to give in one daily intake. The capsules contain a palatable, water soluble powder that appeals to both dogs and cats. They can be given whole or opened and the powder mixed with food, treats or liquids. Since Zylkene is taken orally and ingested, it is present wherever the pet goes, both inside and outside the house. Water should always be available to your pet.
How to give Zylkene:
For short term use, begin administration 1-2 days before the predicted event or change in environment. Some animals may need earlier administration (5-7 days).
For long term use, start giving Zylkene for one month then reassess the pet.
Association with a behaviour modification program may help in these situations

Was recommended by my vet for my mini foxie of 14 years of age. Suffering anxiety of me being away, digging holes to get out and run away. She seems be a lot calmer since being on this product. I give it everyday just opening up the capsule and putting on some meat. Has no worries taking it this way. Hope it is back in stock in the 75mg very soon. Twice the price at the vets.

Has helped significantly with the anxiety of my 6 yr old DSH to accept the new arrivals. Just split the capsule and mix it with his favourite treat.
My stressed kitty was super stressed and this has no side effects (as advertised) so it's perfect for kitty on a long term basis. Have almost finished the bottle and kitty is acting normal now. Meowing like a kitty should be instead of trembling. Purring and playing. Definitely buying it again.
Unfortunately, after using Zelkene for a month showed no significant changes to help with my dog with her anxieties or reactivities towards other dogs.
What an amazing product. I have had one very scared cat that wouldn’t go near anyone or let anyone pick him up. Since he has been on this product he is a totally different cat. So chillaxed and quite sociable. Would recommend this product to any cat or dog that shows any sign of stress.

3 cats using this, appear to be helping their anxiety especially as I am away at hospital and they are being cared for by a friend. No wee in the wrong areas, fairly chilled with stranger int he house. Eat it on their food.
Our 12 month old Lab X has anxiety and doesn't deal well with the outside world and any new situations or unfamiliar people & dogs. This made training difficult as he would have a melt down every time we took him outside the house. After trying quite a few different products, I can say that this product has helped immensely as he is a much calmer dog. He just passed his level 3 Dog obedience class where he is surrounded by lots of people & strange dogs. Our boy is starting to enjoy life now.
Originally advised by vet to help my very anxious mini pins her with a huge house move from interstate. All I can say is she is a different dog.
