Thereafter, bathing, water immersion or exposure to sunlight will not reduce and efficacy of FRONTLINE PLUS.
Safety:
FRONTLINE PLUS has demonstrated a significant margin of safety for use in dogs and puppies over 8 weeks of age and in breeding, pregnant or lactating bitches.
Treatment Frequency:
Fleas: Monthly application is recommended. All animals in a household should be treated at the same time (for household cats use FRONTLINE PLUS for Cats). It is especially important to treat all household animals if any pet is allergic to fleas (flea allergy dermatitis).
Paralysis Tick: Two weekly application is recommended. While FRONTLINE PLUS provides control of paralysis tick for up to 2 weeks, use of this product does not guarantee prevention of tick paralysis because ticks are not killed immediately after attachment. Daily searching of dogs is necessary to minimise the risk of tick paralysis. See your veterinarian for advice on searching techniques and tick seasonality.
Brown Dog Tick: Monthly application is recommended.
Biting Lice: Treat all household dogs at the same time.

Seresto Flea and Tick Collar for Dogs over 8kg provides 8 months continuous protection for dogs from fleas and 4 months from ticks in one easy application. Seresto collars also protects your dog against lice.
The active ingredients in Seresto collars are specially formulated for steady, dose-adjusted release that spreads over your dog, remaining in the fatty layer of the skin and coat, where they are effective against fleas and ticks all season long. Best of all, fleas don't have to bite your dog to be affected, so your pet suffers less of those painful flea bites. The collars also effectively repels and kills ticks, preventing them from attaching and feeding from your dog.
The top 5 benefits of Seresto Dog Collars:
- Fast relief from painful bites from fleas and ticks: * Protects your pet against fleas immediately after collar application * Protects your pet against ticks within 48 hours after application * Imidacloprid kills fleas on contact - they don't have to bite * Flumethrin ensures that ticks are repelled and killed
- Long-lasting and easy to use: * 8 months of continuous protection against fleas * 4 months continuous protection against ticks * No need to remember monthly dosing with spot on products * Simply unroll the collar, trim away the connector tabs, fit the collar so there is space for two fingers between the neck and the collar and trim away the excess
- Prevents development of further fleas: * Kills adult fleas in less than 2 hours after reinfesting * Kills 99%-100% of fleas before they lay eggs * Prevents infestation if your treated pet comes into contact with other pets with fleas * Helps clean up the flea population living in the house by killing larvae living in the pet's environment (bedding, floors and furniture)
- Safe for the family and the pet: * Predetermined break point and emergency release ratchet system to allow the collar to loosen or break without injury to your pet * Safety studies confirm a high Margins of Safety (MoS) for you, your pet, and the environment
- Water resistant: * Active ingredients stay locked in the collar and trapped in the fatty layer of the skin, so your dog can be bathed without needing to remove the collar, and with the peace of mind that it will still be effective against fleas and ticks.
What are the active ingredients in the Seresto collars?
Seresto collars contain two active ingredients, Imidacloprid and Flumethrin. Each collar contains 100mg/g of Imidacloprid and 45mg/g of Flumethrin to kill ticks and fleas.

Neovet kills adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact by absorption via the flea intersegmental membranes. Stops fleas from feeding in 3-5 minutes. Neovet may be used as the only product for flea control as it breaks the life cycle and kills fleas emerging from the environ meant to reinfect pets.
With Nexgard Spectra, your dog will receive the most complete parasite protection that's available, in just one chew. No need for sprays or spot-ons, tablets or flea & tick collars - just one tasty chew that makes parasite protection so easy.
You can give Nexgard Spectra from just 8 weeks of age, so whether you've picked up your first puppy, taken in a rescue dog, added a senior dog to your home or are looking to simplify the protection you already provide for your dog, there's a Nexgard Spectra for you.
The range of Nexgard Spectra suits dogs from 2 kg to 60 kg. As your dog grows, make sure to pick up the pack with the correct weight range and remember, the best way to protect all year round is to give your dog a tasty Nexgard Spectra treat every month.
Protect from fleas:
- Nexgard Spectra kills fleas fast, helping you keep your dog healthy and your home flea-free
- Fleas are more than just a nuisance. They are irritating for your dog, they can cause skin problems and even transmit disease
- It's best to prevent fleas from the start, however if your dog does acquire them, regular use of Nexgard Spectra kills fleas fast and prevents them from infesting your home.
- With one chew, Nexgard Spectra helps protect your dog from deadly Paralysis ticks, Bush ticks and Brown Dog ticks for a full month
- The Paralysis tick causes the most concern as without protection, dogs can die from the effects of the toxin it injects
- In large numbers, Brown Dog ticks can also harm dogs with life-threatening anaemia and by transmitting other dangerous parasites such as Babesia
- Nexgard Spectra, given monthly, protects your dog from the effects of heartworm (A heartworm test may be required prior to starting Nexgard Spectra. Ask your vet for more information)
- Heartworm disease is spread by mosquitoes that can be found in every mainland state of Australia
- You may not realise your dog has been infected until damage has been done, and if left untreated it can be fatal, so it's important to protect against this disease
- Nexgard Spectra protects your dog from common roundworm, hookworm and whipworm species.
- Effective flea control with Nexgard Spectra prevents flea tapeworm (Dipylidium caninum) infestation in dogs. (If you live in a rural area, you may also need to protect against hydatid tapeworm.) Ask your vet about deworming requirements in your area.
- Dogs may be able to cope with the effects of a few parasitic worms, but in high numbers they can rob your dog of important nutrients and cause their health to suffer
- Protecting against worms helps keep your dog healthy
- Nexgard Spectra treats and controls demodectic mange caused by Demodex spp., sarcoptic mange caused by Sarcoptes scabiei and ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations.
Nexgard Spectra delivers the most complete protection from fleas, ticks, mites, heartworm and intestinal worms available, in one monthly chew.
