EquiShure promotes normal digestive function by aiding in the maintenance of an optimal hindgut environment and is designed for horses suspected of suffering from or that are at risk of developing hindgut acidosis.
Many horses have hindgut disturbances and EquiShureās unique encapsulation technology ensures targeted release directly in the hindgut.
The demands placed on horses, as both athletes and breeding animals, dictate that substantial quantities of energyārich feeds be consumed.
Disturbances in the normal hindgut environment are thought to result from overconsumption of either highāstarch concentrates or pasture grasses rich in fructans (sugars).
Hindgut acidosis leads to changes in the bacterial population of the hindgut, digestive disturbances, and reduced digestive efficiency. EquiShure supplies a time-released balancer to neutralise the acid and help maintain a stable hindgut environment, which encourages proper digestion and absorption of nutrients.
Why use EquiShure?
- Helps maintain normal digestive function and an optimal hindgut environment
- Patented encapsulation technology allows for targeted delivery of sodium bicarbonate to the hindgut
- Stabilises and maintains normal hindgut pH to reduce the risk of hindgut acidosis and associated disorders
- May help improve digestive efficiency
When to use EquiShure
- Horses on moderate or high grain diets
- Horses grazing on lush pasture
- Horses with digestive upsets resulting in loose manure
- Horses prone to recurrent mild colic
- Inappetence or picky eaters and poor doers or prone to weight loss
- Horses with unexplainable behaviour problems
- Horses under stress of training, travel or sales preparation

Kelato ZanoBOLIC concentrate is a lysine and refined rice bran embryo extract (gamma oryzanol) supplement that aids in the development of lean muscle, topline and improves coat condition.
Gamma oryzanol is a crystalline powder separated and extracted from rice bran oil and rice embryo oil. The gamma oryzanol molecule has a similar molecular structure to a testosterone molecule, thus giving it anabolic properties. Gamma oryzanol contains two molecules ā sterol and ferulic acid. Ferulic acid is a compound that possesses very strong antioxidant properties, while sterols have many biological functions ā throughout nature they are the starting point for the creation and synthesis of hormones, which are pivotal to cell, muscle and body function.
Gamma oryzanol has a two-fold effect on high performance athletes:
- Anabolism ā Gamma oryzanol has a stimulant effect on growth, lean muscle mass and strength. It has an effect on the body's endocrine (hormonal) system resulting in increased metabolism of fat and increased synthesis of protein. In horses, the effects of gamma oryzanol supplementation can be seen as an improved muscle to fat ratio (greater muscle definition over the withers, shoulders and hind quarters).
- Antioxidant ā During high intensity exercise, free radicals are released into the muscles and damage cell membranes. Antioxidants, such as the ferulic acid in gamma oryzanol, help to protect the membranes from the deleterious effects of free radicals.
How does it work?
- ZanoBOLIC concentrate is designed to target working muscles to assist in lean muscle development.
- The gamma oryzanol, combined with exercise and a balanced high-quality diet, enables the body to increase lean muscle mass.
- The strong antioxidant effect of the refined rice bran embryo extract aids in reducing muscle damage in hard working horses.
- Can be used to improve coat condition and darken coat colour.
- Stimulates and maintains appetite.
Why do they need it?
- Yearlings: Increase muscle mass and definition + topline + improved and darkened coat = top dollar in sale ring
- Performance horses: Well developed muscle + topline + increased appetite = stamina, strength and winning edge
- Show Horses: Topline + well defined muscles + coat condition = show stopper appearance
- Racehorses in training: Increase appetite + increase muscle mass and strength = speed, stamina and race wins

The copper and cobalt in CACOLIV can help darken a horses coat, producing an iridescent sheen difficult to achieve with an ordinary supplement. CACOLIV may be used as an aid for good coat colour all year round, but especially when horses shed their winter coats.
CACOLIV is a haematinic supplement offering an alternative to B-complex vitamins which may cause a hyperactive reaction in some horses. It also provides a replacement for injectable iron which can exacerbate bleeding if administered too close to strenuous work.
This product may be used weekly as a general tonic.
Directions:
Administer the entire contents onto the back of the horses tongue.
Give one tube 24 hours before racing or work.
To darken the coat, give one tube every second day (total 4 tubes).
Available in a 6mL tube (single dose).

Hush is used as a training and management aid for horses exhibiting excitable or irrational behaviour or during periods of mental stress.Ā It is useful for breaking, training and transport of horses.
Tryptophan is an amino acid necessary for normal growth in foals and for nitrogen balance in adult horses. It is an essential amino acid, which means the body cannot produce it and it must be obtained from diet. Tryptophan is low in dried pasture and grain. It is used by the body to help produce niacin and serotonin. Studies have shown that serotonin may increase sleepiness or sedation and decrease aggression, fearfulness, mania, insomnia and pain sensitivity. Tryptophan deficiency is thought to increase nervousness and excitability in some horses. Management considerations could also help calm the excitable horse.
B-Complex Vitamins:
Athletic animals should be given a range of vitamins, minerals and amino acids in their diet to maintain optimal health. B-Group vitamins are intimately involved in energy metabolism - the conversion of food into fuel. They also stimulate the appetite and are involved in blood formation. Unfortunately most B-Vitamins are not stored in the body and need to be replenished daily.
Athletic animals, which exercise regularly and strenuously, have far greater requirements for vitamins, amino acids and minerals than non-athletic animals. Maximal exercise has been shown to reduce B vitamin levels, and suppress the blood counts of athletic animals. Many athletic animals have a low red blood cell count. Less red blood cells means less oxygen going to the muscles which means they cannot perform at their peak. The B complex vitamins and the trace minerals iron, copper and cobalt are required for the production of normal red blood cells. The need for B Complex Vitamins are increased in athletic animals in training and under stress.
B-1 Thiamine
Thiamine is necessary for the proper function of the heart and nervous system. Combines with phosphorus to form thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP) necessary for metabolism of protein, carbohydrate, and fat; essential for growth, normal appetite, digestion, and healthy nerves. A deficiency of thiamine can cause weakness, fatigue, confusion, and nerve damage.
B-2 Riboflavin
Helps muscle cells produce energy. It is required by the body to use oxygen and the metabolism of amino acids, fatty acids, and carbohydrates. Riboflavin is further needed to activate vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), helps to create niacin and assists the adrenal gland. It may be used for red blood cell formation, antibody production, cell respiration, and growth. Vitamin B2 is required for the health of the mucus membranes in the digestive tract and helps with the absorption of iron and vitamin B6. Although it is needed for periods of rapid growth, it is also needed when protein intake is high. Riboflavine (Vitamin B 2) works with the other B vitamins. It is important for body growth and red blood cell production
B-6
Vitamin B-6 is important for health of the blood vessels and red blood cells. Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B 6) plays a role in the synthesis of antibodies by the immune system. Antibodies are needed to fight many diseases. Vitamin B 6 helps maintain normal nerve function and also acts in the formation of red blood cells. It is also required for the chemical reactions needed to digest proteins. The higher the protein intake, the more the need for vitamin B 6. Deficiency of this vitamin can cause irritability and confusion.
Magnesium
Magnesium in the body serves several important metabolic functions. It plays a role in the production and transport of energy. It is also important for the contraction and relaxation of muscles. Magnesium is involved in the synthesis of protein, and it assists in the functioning of certain enzymes in the body. Magnesium deficiency symptoms include muscle weakness, fatigue and hyper-excitability.
If dietary levels are low, supplementation with Hush with Tryptophane from Equine Health Science may help counter symptoms of hyperexcitability, nervousness, irritability and confusion.
Equine Health Science - Hush with Tryptophane. May be useful for training & education, showing and transport of all horses.

- Help young horses or 'slabby-sided' yearlings bulk up pre-sale without excess energy, easy to give with quick results.
- Targeted supplement for recovery after intense training sessions, hard competitions or endurance rides where muscle energy and antioxidant replenishment is paramount.
The ultimate muscle food source with extra nutrients for muscle function and recovery after exercise.
Build beautiful top-line and muscle tone quickly and easily with high level of quality protein, essential amino acids and concentrated branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), organic sulphur (MSM), organic chelated zinc and natural, high potency vitamin E.
See the difference in muscle tone and top-line in just 3 weeks. Muscle XL is best given as a concentrated supplement within 15 minutes after exercise.
Use Muscle XL after training to refuel tired muscles and encourage muscle fibre synthesis, regeneration and repair.
Low sugar formula builds lean muscle, not fat!
Does not cause fizziness or hot behaviour.
Dosage Rate: 1 scoopful contains 40 grams of Muscle XL.
For horses (400 - 600 kg body weight), give 2 scoopsful per day. For ponies (200 - 400 kg body weight) give 1 scoopful daily.
If the horse or pony is severely lacking in muscle or if dietary protein is low or inadequate, give an extra scoopful. Muscle XL can be mixed into the normal main meal or hard feed each day until desired muscle build and top-line is achieved, normally daily for 12 - 30 days. Then continue Muscle XL as required to maintain muscle bulk, usually as a top-up course for 5-7 days each month or after hard exercise and competition. Best results will be obtained with regular exercise, especially if the dose of Muscle XL is given within 15 minutes after exercise when the muscles are warm and ready to preferentially absorb the 'muscle food' provided by Muscle XL. In this case, Muscle XL may be given as a targeted dose combined with 1-2 litres of chaff, lightly wet with water.
Give Muscle XL as an oral paste after hard training or competition to provide specific nutrients for muscle recovery. Mix the dose of Muscle XL with an equal volume of water and administer over the tongue in a large oral dosing syringe.

Used by professional horsemen in Australia for half a century, signs like thick, cloudy, smelly urine or puffy hind legs mean it's time to bring out KA Cleans and Flushes. Horsemen also know that like any filter, kidneys function better when clean. It is not necessary to use KA Cleans and Flushes every day, mainly after fast work or racing.
KA Cleans and Flushes assists the blood clearing action of kidneys by increasing the volume and flow of urine. A reliable diuretic action removes toxins from the body by stimulating thirst and increasing the volume of urine passed. It acts to flush the body of harmful compounds accumulated during exercise.
As an antiseptic, it acts by effectively cleansing the urinary tract to reduce the risk of low grade bladder infection cystitis. Thus, KA Cleans and Flushes assists in promoting the action of the kidney, helping to increase urinary flow to eliminate problems such as oedema of the lower limbs which often occurs in horses on high grain diets after hard work or racing.
KA Cleans and Flushes is a palatable mixture suitable for addition to the feeds of racehorses, endurance horses, all classes of competition horses and as a means to reducing fluid build-up in mares heavy in foal.
KA Cleans and Flushes is a handy product to have in the kennels at all times to regularly flush the system of racing greyhounds, especially bitches prone to cystitis or bladder infection, or greyhounds on high dry food diets that result in increased risk of urinary crystals.

BetaCALMĀ is a Tryptophan, Thiamine, Vitamin E and Magnesium supplement designed to nutritionally support nervous and anxious horses.
What is BetaCALM?
They donāt call it the nervous system for nothing! Anxiety affects horses too and stressful experiences can have a significant effect on their mental state. Thatās whyĀ BetaCALMĀ was formulated ā to provide a source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that may help to reduce nervousness or hyper-reactivity in horses.
How does BetaCALM work?
BetaCALMĀ has a unique combination of four ingredients to nutritionally support nervous horses without affecting performance.
- Tryptophan:Ā An essential amino acid that stabilises the horseās mood, reduces anxiety and lessens the stress response. Tryptophan is not produced naturally by the horse and beneficial levels are not found in feed. It is converted in the body to serotonin, which helps to induce a feeling of calmness.
- Vitamin B1 (Thiamine):Ā A B vitamin that plays a vital role in nerve transmission. Hard-working horses or those on a high grain, low forage diet may have reduced production of thiamine in the hindgut due to stress or hindgut acidosis.
- Vitamin E:Ā An antioxidant that helps to protect cell membranes from oxidative damage and maintain normal nerve and other functions.
- Magnesium:Ā Important for cell metabolism, especially in the nervous system and muscles during work.
The specific levels ofĀ magnesium, vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin E and tryptophan may help to actively reduce the stress response during training, travelling and competition. With thiamineās important role in energy metabolism and nerve transmission, and tryptophanās role in the inhibition of stress and fear, deficiencies of these nutrients may cause anxiety, mental confusion and failure of muscle coordination. On top of this, magnesium has been found to reduce reactivity in horses.
Remember, there are many factors that can cause undesirable behaviour in horses including diet, age, training, housing, pain and digestive conditions. It is best to discuss your horseās diet and history to determine whether changes in feeding and management practices are also required to reduce anxious behaviour. To help manage nervous horses, try providing constant access to forage, small meals and reduce starch/sugar in the diet. Also, decreasing stable time and providing equine company is very beneficial for mental health.

Jenquine Bone Formula Forte is a fortified calcium supplement for horses on hard feed.
Bighead and osteoporosis are a constant risk from high phosphorus, oxalates and phytates in feeds such as cereal and grassy hays, grains, bran and sub-tropical grass (including buffel, panic, kikuyu and setaria) found throughout Australia. Signs include shifting intermittent lameness, reluctance to move forward freely, joint pain, 'creaky' joints, stiffness, dental problems and an increased risk of fractures, tendon and ligament injuries.
Maintaining mineral intake throughout a horse's life helps protect against dietary imbalances and musculoskeletal weakness. Only chelated calcium is protected from oxalates and phytates in the feed.
The importance of calcium:
Calcium is essential for life itself (regulating heartbeat, nerve function, muscle contraction and blood clotting) and blood levels are tightly regulated by parathyroid hormone (PTH). PTH is released when diets are low in calcium ā causing calcium to move out of the bones and into the blood, and leading to demineralisation of bones and osteoporosis. Mild cases are difficult to detect, manifesting as vague shifting lameness, shortened stride, soreness at ligament and tendon insertions, joint pain and swelling. In more severe forms, ligament and tendon injuries increase and there may be a watery nasal discharge, poor coat, difficulty chewing, dental pain and swelling of the jaws, maxilla, mandible and nasal bones.
Management and prevention:
The dietary calcium deficiency must be corrected. Chelation protects calcium from oxalate attack, is over 95% absorbed into the blood stream and, in the presence of oxalates, is more bioavailable than inorganic forms (lime and dicalcium phosphate). Dr Jennifer Stewart's Bone Formula Forte contains chelated calcium PLUS essential bone trace minerals that are deficient in Australian soils, pastures, hays and grains.
GUARANTEED ANALYSIS:

GastroAID Recovery is unique as it provides therapeutic levels of the ācoating agentsā pectin and lecithin, which form a barrier over the stomach wall to protect it from acid burn and strengthen the mucosal lining.
GastroAID Recovery is designed for horses with equine gastric ulcer syndrome (EGUS), horses recovering from EGUS, or those under a significant amount of stress. If your horse is prone to developing gastric ulcers, we recommend using GastroAID Recovery during stressful periods.
How does GastroAID Recovery benefit your horse?
A healthy digestive system means a healthier horse. GastroAID Recovery will help bring your horse back to its full potential by:
⢠Optimising total gut function
⢠Protecting total gut health
⢠Improving feed conversion efficiency
GastroAID Recovery helps your horseās gut better cope with the stresses of exercise, stabling, travelling and competition. You will start to notice positive changes in your horse such as a better attitude, ability to perform, improved body condition, a glossier coat, increased appetite and manure consistency.
How does GastroAID Recovery work?
- Moderates Gut Transit Time: Wholegrain oat flour delays stomach emptying to maintain a healthy rate of food passage th`rough the digestive system, allowing for optimal digestion and absorption of nutrients.
- Neutralises Gastric Acid: Antacids stabilise (buffer) stomach pH to reduce irritation to the stomach lining.
- Coats Stomach Lining: Pectin forms a gel-like layer over the stomach to protect the lining from the corrosive effects of gastric acid.
- Strengthens Stomach Lining: Lecithin is a phospholipid that improves the integrity of the epithelial cells to help maintain a healthy stomach lining.
- Blocks Harmful Bacteria: Agrimos prebiotic blocks the colonisation of bad bacteria in the gut, reducing the risk of diarrhoea and disease. It also enhances the bodyās immune response to infection.

Methionine is a sulphur-containing protein amino acid that is minimally soluble in water providing bio-available sulphur, vital for healthy hoof horn. It is the most important amino acid for hoof growth and is the foundation for collagen production. Dietary supplements high in methionine, but not balanced for zinc and copper, can cause deficiencies and poor horn. In excess, methionine can block the absorption of zinc, copper and iron.
Biotin is Vitamin H, a member of the B Complex vitamins. Like all B-vitamins, biotin is water soluble. That means it is not stored in body fats. Since it cannot be stored, it must be present in the daily diet. Biotin is the second-most important nutrient in hoof growth and repair. It helps alleviate eczema and dermatitis through utilization of proteins. Biotin acts as a co-factor in many of the body's enzymatic reactions. It is essential in your horse's body for the production of fatty acids, glycogen production and for the production of proteins. Biotin deficiencies cause skin lesions, sparse hair growth, dry, scaly skin, and brittle, cracking hooves. Hoof deformities such as dishing and low heels have also been associated with biotin deficiencies.
Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane (MSM) is an organic compound derived from DMSO (topical anti-inflammatory). It is an excellent dietary source of Sulphur, an element that is important in the formation of connective tissue and is credited with enhancing blood circulation and reducing inflammation and epiphysitis.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) helps heal wounds; contributes to the formation of cells, tissues, teeth, hooves, tendons and bones; and helps to boosts the immune system.
Zinc is a mineral component of tissues like skin and hoof horn, essential to support healthy keratin formation within the hoof wall. Zinc helps to improve hoof integrity through wound healing, epithelium maintenance, and keratin synthesis and maturation. Healthy keratin formation prevents the hoof wall becoming brittle or soft. Keratin is also a major component of healthy skin.
Iodine helps to control metabolism and is recommended for horses with weak hooves or hoof wall problems.
Copper can help increase hoof hardness. Horses deficient in copper may be more susceptible to heel cracks, white line disease, and sole abscesses.
Choline helps eliminate poisons from the system through the liver and helps nerve responses to aid the healing.
HOOF FIX may assist in the correction of heel cracks, white line disease, brittle, cracking hooves, sole abscesses and hoof deformities such as dishing and low heels as well as eczema and dermatitis, skin lesions, sparse hair growth and dry, scaly skin.

In late 2020 International Animal Health began rebranding Protexin to a new nameĀ "ProN8ure". The actual product remains the same and the only thing that has changed is the name.
BENEFITS of ProN8ure:Ā
- Establishment of beneficial gut microflora
- Suppression of E. Coli Salmonella & Aeromonas spp
- Treatment and control of scouring and diarrhoea
- Improved digestibility of feed
- Improved growth and feed conversion
- Reduced digestive upsets
- Enhanced animal health
- Re-establishment of gut microflora following antibiotics, wormers or vaccination
- Reducing stress (stress disrupts normal intestinal balance)
- Safe, non-toxic and residue-free.
Stress, in all forms is one of the major causes of disruption to the normal balance of microflora in the gut, allowing proliferation of pathogens. Loss of appetite, picky eating, scouring, poor condition and changes in temperament are some of the less consequences. Stress is easily induced with some common causes being: changes in diet, heavy work or training, temperature extremes, breeding, transportation, worming, vaccinations and changes to environment.Ā Use of ProN8ure in these circumstances protects horses from negative intestinal changes while improving digestive efficiency and general health.
Antibiotics are particularly harmful to gut microflora, leaving animals susceptible to re-infection. PROTEXIN should always be administered following any course of antibiotics. The digestive system plays a vital role in the health, vigour and performance of horses. Its correct functioning is dependent on the level and balance of bacteria and yeasts called microflora. Microflora have the major role in breaking down indigestible nutrients, in the synthesis and absorption of vitamins and minerals, in stimulating the immune system and in preventing the proliferation of pathogens in the gut.
Foals are born with a sterile gut which is rapidly colonised by both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria. A fine balance exists which can easily be disrupted, leading to scouring, ill thrift and other problems. Feeding ProN8ure from birth protects the foal from pathogens, improves digestive efficiency, enables better utilisation of feed and makes the transition from milk to solid feed easier.
All horses benefit from ProN8ure's ability to stabilise intestinal microflora, maximise gut health and resist the effects of stress.

BetaMARE is a concentrated, standardised chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus) supplement to support normal balanced behaviour in mares.
Benefits:
- Promotes balanced behaviour
- Reduces irritability and mood swings
- Natural remedy for tension
- Aids focus for consistent performance
- Improves willingness to workĀ
How does BetaMARE work?
Owning a mare often involves a rollercoaster of emotions ā for both the mare and the owner! A mareās mood swings are typically accompanied by irritability, muscular tension, erratic behaviour patterns and a generally uncooperative attitude. This quintessential āmare-ishā behaviour can cause disruptions to training and competition schedules, as some mares become reactive, hard to handle or unfocused in their work.
Chasteberry has a long traditional history of use to help balance behaviour fluctuations in mares. Supplementation with chasteberry can help improve the mareās mood, aiding relaxation and cooperation.
What makes BetaMARE unique?
A common problem with feeding raw herbs (whether whole, dried or powdered) is the variation between batches. The level of actives in raw herbs can be influenced by a range of factors such as stage of growth, season and environmental conditions (soil type, pH, water, etc). So, it is difficult to determine an effective dose unless a standardised herbal extract is used. For this reason, Kelato use a concentrated, standardised chasteberry extract in BetaMARE to ensure consistency and efficacy between product batches.
Ingredients:
Per 30mL: 450mg Chasteberry Extract, Natural Cherry Flavouring, Natural Low Sugar Sweetener (Monk Fruit), Water, Preservatives.
Directions for use:
- BetaMAREĀ is designed to be mixed in the horse's feed.
- Feed 30- 60mL daily.
- Safe to use long-term.
- Do not use on pregnant mares.
- Shake well before use.
- Feeding recommendations are for 500kg bodyweight.

Equitec Pro Flex is a broad spectrum joint food essential for maintaining healthy cartilage, ligaments, tendons and bones.
Glucosamine is found in tendons, ligaments, synovial fluid, mucus membranes, and several structures in the eye, blood vessels and heart valves.
Methionine is a sulphur bearing amino acid and is converted to an important component of connective tissue.
S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) has been used in clinic applications for the treatment of osteoarthritis. Unfortunately SAM is expensive, however, its precursors are not.
Methionine is a catalyst and aids in the administration of niacin amide and metabolism of glucosamine. Lysine is an amino acid that when hydroxylated by Vitamin C, is extremely important in the structure of cartilage tissue, and protein synthesis.
Proline is the amino acid that supplies the bend in the peptide chains for collagen's characteristic triple helix structure.
Zinc Amino Chelate- Zinc is required for over 70 different enzymes to function.
In this instance Zinc is used in the hydrolysis and cross linking needed for collagen formation. Zinc deficient animals have been shown to have impaired epiphysial cartilage and collagen development.
Copper Amino Chelate- Copper works in this case as a co-enzyme important for the formation of the disulfide bonds characteristic in collagen structure.
Manganese Amino Chelate- Manganese is important in this formula with its activation of enzymes needed for the binding of glucose to the other molecules that form cartilage.
Vitamin C is an essential element for the formulation of the hydroxyl groups needed in cartilage synthesis. Vitamin C deficiency results in a depressed immune system and reduced production of collagen ā the protein based structure element in tendons and ligaments.
Citrus Bioflavonoid ā anti-oxidant protection to mitigate free radical activity, which occurs as a result of cartilage degradation.
Niacinamide plays an important role in the anti-inflammatory response of joints to stress. It also interrupts the production of intracellular adhesion molecules.
PRO-FLEX is not a drug and is completely safe and non toxic. It may be administered even on competition day.
PRO-FLEX IS NOT a quick fix.
After a few days the horse may show some improvement however, this does not mean the horse has been cured, and administration of the product should be continued.
